ASM’s Associate Dean of Research and Hospitality Studies, Dr. Alfred Ogle has extensive industry experience Front Office operations by working for renowned hotel brands in North America and South East Asia and has taught at the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) in the Macau SAR and Edith Cowan University in WA.
Alfred is a keen advocate of close industry-academic ties and holds the belief that practice informs theory which in turn enlightens practice, a philosophy shared by ASM.

Michelle Rowe PhD
Dr. Michelle Rowe is an experienced practitioner who has taught and worked widely across management and marketing. Michelle has developed and delivered tailored MBA courses to corporate clients and has substantial experience in the International MBA at the University of Western Sydney. Her passion is teaching research, and the disciplines of management and marketing, but especially to see students equipped to apply what they have learned to real life situations.

Michael’s has worked in Australia and then to Europe, Latin America, North America, the Caribbean, and Asia in Rooms Division, Purchasing, Corporate Operations Analyst, Food & Beverage, Quality, Project Management (specializing in Hotel Openings) and Hotel General Management. His passion is hotel-based F&B Management which has led him to undertake his PhD in the same area.

Mr Pynt has 26 years experience in law, accounting and business management. His main area of practice was in commercial law including corporations law, revenue law and contracts. This legal and management/director experience greatly assists management to make appropriate business decisions. Steve sits on numerous boards of listed public companies and is also CEO of Muzz Buzz Franchising Pty Ltd.

Donna manages varying industry consultation projects in the oil, mining gas and transport machinery industries. Donna’s teaching career started off with Curtin University and Australian Institute of Commerce & Technology.

Cat Thai is currently completing post graduate studies in Tertiary and Adult Education.

Mohamad’s forte is F&B cost control. He was the Cost Controller and Purchasing Manager at Four Points by Sheraton in Lebanon. Since arriving in Perth, he has engaged in coffee shop management and hotel Front Office Management. His areas of interest are Night Auditing, pricing strategy, yield management and menu engineering.
